The 2020 Presidential Award for Social Justice
The Office of the President is seeking nominations for its 2020 Presidential Award for Social Justice. This award will recognize students, faculty and staff of Roosevelt University for their ongoing commitment to and demonstration of social justice within the classroom, workplace and community. The award will celebrate the leadership and accomplishments of each recipient and her/his promotion of social justice through action — serving as an advocate for change.
Award recipients are asked to be present during the State of the University in Chicago on Wednesday, April 8 at 1:30 p.m. To submit your nomination, complete the online form.
Who can nominate individuals or groups?
All Roosevelt and Robert Morris students, faculty and staff may submit nominations for the award.
Who is eligible to be nominated?
Roosevelt and Robert Morris students, faculty, and staff may be nominated for the award. Nominations can be for individuals or teams of staff, faculty or students who have worked on a project/event/research together.
When are nominations accepted?
Nominations may be submitted between Tuesday, February 25 and Wednesday, March 11.
Roosevelt Student ID Card Reminder
If you are taking a Spring 2020 class on the Roosevelt University campuses on or after February 24, you are required to have a Roosevelt ID card in order to access the building. You can pick up your Roosevelt ID card Thursday, February 20 through Friday, February 28.
Roosevelt registrar’s office hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m., and Fridays, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and located at:
- Chicago Campus, 425 S. Wabash Ave. | Wabash Building, Room 1M14
- Schaumburg Campus, 1400 N. Roosevelt Blvd. | First Stop, Room 125
Roosevelt Employee ID Card Reminder
We are very pleased about the enthusiasm we have received about the integration, but write now to clarify that only the Robert Morris employees who are teaching on Roosevelt’s campuses for the RMU Spring 1 quarter have received IDs. Employees who received offers to start on March 10 will receive a later communication about IDs, onboarding and other important matters.
We thank you for your patience and look forward to seeing you.
New Student Onboarding
This week, Roosevelt University will be welcoming many new Robert Morris students to campus as they begin their next term. To make the transition a smooth one, we are hosting a New Student Onboarding session for all RMU students on Friday, February 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free lunch will be provided to all participants.
This event will take place at both the Chicago and Schaumburg campuses and online:
- Chicago: Auditorium Building Second Floor, Ida B. Wells Lounge
- Schaumburg: Room 126
- Streaming on Zoom
