Hello Roosevelt Community!

I wanted to follow up on Friday’s announcement from the Chair of the Board of Trustees to share a personal note with you all about my plans to retire at the conclusion of my contract in June 2027.

Serving as president of Roosevelt University has been one of the greatest honors of my professional life. This community welcomed me, trusted me with its mission, and inspired me every day with its resilience, creativity, and unwavering belief in the power of education to change lives.

Over the past decade, I have had the privilege of working alongside extraordinary students, faculty, staff, alumni, trustees and friends. Together, we have navigated challenges, embraced bold ideas, and strengthened Roosevelt’s commitment to access, opportunity, and social justice. The momentum we have built—through enrollment growth, innovative programs and philanthropic support—belongs to all of you.

While this decision comes after thoughtful reflection, it is not goodbye. I look forward to continuing to serve this remarkable University throughout the upcoming academic year, supporting a smooth transition and advancing the priorities that matter most to our community. Roosevelt University’s future is bright, and I am confident the next chapter will bring even greater achievements.
